The Hit' n Run Creation
Hit n run started off with luke and theiny messing around with some well known tunes inspired by the likes of muse amongst others,and everybody laughed at us as the 2 man band. We realised that we were creating material as well so we decided to bring it further and look for a singer. After trying a few people( One squeaky voice, One cant sing to save his life!!) we found James Flynn. James was a friend of luke's in primary school and we realised he had good singing potential. James was put straight in the band. After that we knew that we couldn't go on with just one guitarist so we recruited someone called ben magee. A talented guitarist in the year above us, luke just happened to know him. After a couple of months wiith ben in the band his dedication was decreasing seeing as he had his exams and everything. We decided that it was for the best for him to concentrate on that instead of the band. We found that we had a gig coming up and realised it was essential to have a bassist. It took us a long time to find a bassist seeing as there's not enough of them around. Finch heard that we were looking for one and told us that he played bass! he saved us. but it was only a matter of time for him to learn everything in 1 month before our first gig in chineham. He learnt pretty quickly. After a couple of gigs we were doing ok, but we didnt feel we were at our full potenital. We were trying to think how we could improve, we thought about styles and everything. Then it came to us...... a fith member. At the moment we are keeping him low profile until the band is ready. At this moment in time we'd say we are at our best and looks like we are goin well and actually going somewhere with our band. We practice together at weekends either at Lukes house or theinys. Occasionally thanks to Our music teacher we get to practice at The Harriet Music room!! |
